Formerly "Fordham University's Introduction to the Irish Tin Whistle." I have renamed this site to reflect the fact that, while I've moved on from Fordham, it doesn't mean that the teaching series also must stop.
Dear Father Ryan I was touched by your tribute to your friend. My sister In law was a McDonald and took several trips to Ireland and brought me back a tin whistle.She asked me to play for her funeral (canticle of turning) Star of County Down. Hi Father Duns, What a great version of "The Star". Out of curiosity, what type of whistle are you playing it on? I am originally from Ireland and love the tin whistle but never played. I hope to one day learn a few tunes. Thanks for posting this and the others. Kind regards, Noel Nevin
Hallo, could you PLEASE make a tutorial of "Rocky road to Dublin" ? You propably know, that because of Euro 2012, Irish wrote song called "Rocky road to Poland" ;) I'm Polish, and I'd really love if I could play it on my Feadog D whistle.

I just ordered my first tin whistle, an Original Clarke D, and I recently started playing the Native American Flute (less than a month). The fingering looks the same for both. I have learned quite a bit from your lessons. Thank you.
